Couples Sans Souci - "A stress free affair to remember"

"Once we started to plan the wedding, we decided we wanted to keep it as stress-free as possible. We thought maybe it could be just the two of us, but we didn't know where exactly we would go. Some of his friends got married in the Caribbean, and we thought that might be a great choice for us too.

I did a lot of Internet research regarding the perfect place to get married. I found a picture of the wedding gazebo at Couples Sans Souci and knew that was IT! I found a great travel agent online who booked all the travel arrangements for us.

We used the automated wedding calendar to book our wedding date. However, I needed to change it afterwards so I contacted Nadia, the Couples Sans Souci wedding advisor, by e-mail and she changed it for us. The Romance Rewards program was not available at that time, but we signed up shortly after it was announced.

I spent a lot of time on the message board absorbing all the information I could before we left on our trip. I posted a question about traveling with my wedding dress, since I didn't have a clue how to travel with it. I got great advice, which boiled down to, "Don't check your wedding dress! Carry it with you on the plane." We got it to Jamaica safe and sound!

We met with Nadia at 10:00 a.m. the morning before our wedding. We picked our flowers and cake, arranged for the photographer and my salon appointment, and confirmed we would be able to add a sand ceremony. I brought some ribbon I wanted in my bouquet and she called the florist right then and there to make sure they would take care of it.

The wedding gazebo was even better in person. I wore a tea-length Galina wedding dress. My husband wore a tan coloured dress shirt and slacks. He was so happy I didn't make him wear a tie and suit jacket! My dress was a little less formal than a traditional gown, so I thought his attire was appropriate and I wanted him to be comfortable. The minister was such a warm, friendly person that we felt like we had known him for years. We felt the same way about Dornette, the attendant for the cake and champagne. The weather was perfect. In fact, everything about our wedding was perfect."

Couples Swept Away - "The More the Marry-er"

"We sent out save the date cards about a year in advance to all our family and friends. Over the next six months, we got a feel for everyone who was really interested in joining us in paradise. Then we sent out a formal wedding invitation, along with an information packet covering scheduled activities we were planning: the catamaran cruise, an offsite tour and the wedding dinner. We ended up getting commitments from 22 people who said they would love to join us.

Over the next six months, I spent a lot of time in touch with the wedding advisor at Couples Swept Away. We started out by booking our wedding time and location - 4:00 p.m., on the beach. Next, we ordered flowers with the help of the advisor. I had very specific requests and she made sure I got my favourite flower, the Calla Lilly . a flower that I now know is quite hard to get in Jamaica! In fact, the lilies had to be shipped in from the U.S. My bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquets looked beautiful. We did flowers for the guys as well. We also booked spa appointments for all the girls through the wedding advisor.

Everything else, we organized upon our arrival. I was a little worried about finalizing plans for my big day, but my worries melted away after we got on site and met with the advisors. They've done this so many times that they know exactly what to do. We booked the photographer through the packages they offered. We also made arrangements for special prayers and speeches during the ceremony, booked the three-man mento band and ordered the cake. Everything was perfect! One of the advisors even took my dress to get it steam cleaned and get rid of any travel wrinkles! We had made welcome gift bags for all our guests and asked the resort to add champagne to each one. They were very, very accommodating. They really are true professionals.

My husband and I got married on the perfect white sand beach at Couples Swept Away, with our family and friends watching. Everything turned out perfect! We had a cocktail party afterwards with full bar and hors d'oeuvres and then headed off resort for a special dinner. We fell in love with Couples Swept Away that day, and my husband and I have already been back five times. Each time we go back, we try to bring at least half of the original group with us, and we have a fantastic time all over again!"

Couples Negril - "Elope to the Exotic"

"It was a last-minute decision that ended up changing our lives for the better. I contacted Naomi, our wedding advisor, who helped me plan all the details. She was very conscientious, professional and helpful with all the decision-making. I made sure all documents required were sent to her before our arrival, and she did the rest.

When we arrived at the hotel, Naomi made sure to introduce herself and sat us in her office to go over the last minute details - like picking floral arrangements and the exact wedding package we wanted. We selected my flowers, his boutonniere and the kind of cake we wanted. We also selected the wedding package that consisted of photos and the video of our big day. It really couldn't have been any easier.

On the day of our wedding, we were given free spa treatments that were just heavenly. We also made arrangements to visit the hair salon and barber shop. We were married at 2 in the afternoon, and Naomi arrived an hour prior to the ceremony to ensure that it started on time. We were married in the Gazebo and the videographer and photographer were very professional. We gave the videographer a CD of the music we wanted to be put on our tape, and the result brought tears to our eyes when we saw it for the first time. We had our cake and champagne waiting for us after the ceremony, and the photographer took us around the grounds to take a bunch of great pictures.

We made reservations at the gourmet restaurant on the night of our wedding. And after a lovely dinner and a return to our room, we immediately noticed the flowers that adorn the floor and the bed, along with a bottle of champagne. We couldn't have been more satisfied with Couples' first-class service. For any couple that is considering a Couples wedding, don't hesitate to do it!"
